My Top 7 Mac Shadows

Do you remember the first eye shadow you ever got? I do. My mom took me to the local MAC counter with her when I was about 11 and said that I could get one. I picked a horrible, sparkly shade of hot pink. However, I remember it as the day that I became a MAC junkie just like my mom. Growing up, I only remember my mom ever using MAC products. It wasn't until my early teens that she started venturing to Sephora regularly for different brands. To this day my mom is still a devoted MAC user, which I think speaks volumes about the quality of their makeup. Enough blabbing... today we are talking about my top 7 MAC shadows of all time and here they are.
#1. Brown Down
This is the ultimate matte brown. It's a warm toned coffee/chocolatey brown that looks amazing as a crease colour, as a smokey eye, or even just by itself. It blends beautifully for a light wash of colour or it can be applied heavier for a smokier look. This is a staple in mine and my mother's makeup bag.
#2. Kid
This colour is my favourite base colour. To be honest it almost matches my skin and to get a swatch for you on my wrist I had to really pack it on. I love to apply this matte shadow all over my eye all the way up to my brow bone to make the rest of my shadow blend together well. This is also amazing if you accidentally put too much of a darker shadow on your lid and want to lighten things up a bit.
#3. Naked Lunch
I think almost all of us have this shade right? And if you don't, get it. Naked Lunch is a slightly pink toned nude. It's a stunning highlight colour, inner eye highlight, or a gorgeous all over colour. It's a frost so it has a bit of shimmer or sheen to it. It complements so many skin tones and looks stunning under the light.
#4. Tempting
This colour... oh gosh. Almost every time I wear this, someone asks me what I have on my eyes. This is a warm golden, carmel coloured lustre. It has more shimmer than a frost like Naked Lunch, but it's not sparkly. I think this colour complements my brown eyes, but I feel like it's a colour that would bring out the warm tones on any eye colour and skin tone. This may be my favourite out of all of these shadows.
#5. Honesty
Just like Tempting, Honesty is a golden lustre shadow. However, this one has rose gold undertones and is a bit more sheer. This is stunning in the summer when you've got a tan. I like to take it into my inner corners and all over my lids.
#6. Honey Lust
Ok, this is the last gold toned shadow I swear. The name of this shadow says it all. It's literally the colour of golden honey shimmering in the sunlight. It's a lot like Honesty, just more gold toned instead of rose gold. By now you know.... I LOVE GOLD SHADOWS! I just love how they bring warmth to the face and make your eyes glow. They also complement a tan!
#7. Trax

Last but not least we have Trax. Trax is a purple/terracotta colour with a golden sheen. Crap, I guess this is the last gold shadow. Anyways, it's great as a crease colour, all over the lid, or under your lower lash line to make your eyes pop a little.
The MAC shadows are priced around $19 CAD and can be purchased for a slightly lower price to fit into one of their palette
