Natural Make Up & Wavy Hair

For this look I kept it easy. I took all of these pictures at the end of the night and I haven't put a filter on any of these. The best lighting in my place was in the bathroom so that's where I took these!

First I primed using Smashbox Photo Finish Light. I got a sample of this from Sephora and really liked it! As you've guessed, it's super light and it kept my make up on all night.

Next I went in with my YSL Fusion Ink Foundation in BD40. I use the applicator to dap dots onto my face and then I blend it with my fingers and then buff it with a large brush. This foundation is SO lightweight and I find if I go in with a brush first it ends up looking streaky.

Then I used my MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in the shade NC20 under my eyes. First I use a concealer brush and then I go in with a damp beauty blender. As soon as I'm happy with the way it looks I go in with a generous amount of my Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder. I let it sit for five minutes and then dust it off my face and use the rest on my brush to set the rest of my face.

Next I used my MAC Blush in the shade Gingerly which is a warm copper colour and I also went in with my Nars Bronzer in Laguna on the outter portions of my face. Lastly, I used the Laura Mercier Baked Highlighter on my cheekbones.

For my eyes, I started with my MAC Paintpot in Painterly all over my lids. Next I used my Burberry Eye Colour in Mink, which is SOOOO gorgeous, on my lids. Then I used a MAC Shadow in Trax on the corners of my eyelids and in the crease (check my last blog post for a swatch of Trax).

I then used a dark brown eye pencil by Elizabeth Arden on my lower lash line and on my upper lash line, using a small brush to blend it out and make a small wing. I then used a Lancome mascara.

I kept the lips super simple and just used a lip pencil that matches the natural shade of my lips. For me that colour is Subculture by MAC.

I used the NYX Matte setting spray to set my makeup.

For my hair I used a one inch barrel curling wand making sure to do small sections and to pull the curls downward. I just used a little bit of moroccan oil on my ends. I didn't use any hair spray because I wanted it to look natural and by the time I got to the restaurant for dinner the curls had fallen and I had a nice natural wavy look.
